How cats age
International Cat Care and the AAHA/AAFP feline guidelines count a cat's first year as about 15 human years and its second as about 24 in total. After that each year adds about 4 human years, whatever the breed.
The 2021 AAHA/AAFP life stages: kitten up to 1 year, young adult 1–6, mature adult 7–10 and senior from about 10 years.
