Does the timer keep running in another tab?
Yes. It tracks the actual clock time, so it stays accurate in the background, and the remaining time shows in the tab title.
Why didn't I hear the alarm?
Check that your device isn't muted. Browsers only allow sound after you interact with the page, which pressing Start does.
