How it works
The magic 8 ball is a fortune-telling toy from the 1950s: you ask a question, turn the ball over and an answer floats up in the little window. This online version picks one of 20 answers each time you shake it.
Half of the answers lean yes, a quarter lean no and a quarter tell you to ask again. The pick uses your browser's crypto.getRandomValues, so no answer is more likely than another.

What are the odds of a yes?
50% yes, 25% no and 25% “ask again”, the same split as the classic toy.
Is this the official Magic 8 Ball?
No. Magic 8 Ball is a trademark of Mattel. This is an independent online version with its own answers.
