How it works
Each tap draws a random number with crypto.getRandomValues and turns it into yes or no (or maybe). The result doesn't depend on the previous answers, so a streak of yeses doesn't make a no “due”.
A good trick for small choices: pay attention to how you feel when the answer appears. If you're disappointed, you already knew what you wanted.
Frequently asked questions
Is the yes or no generator 50/50?
Yes. It uses your browser's secure random number generator, so yes and no each have exactly a 50% chance (a third each if you turn on “maybe”).
Can I use it to make decisions?
It's great for small choices like what to eat or which movie to watch. For big decisions, think it through yourself.
Why did I get the same answer several times in a row?
Streaks are normal with random answers. Four of the same answer in a row happens about once every eight tries.
