Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate running pace?
Divide your time by the distance. 10 km in 55:00 is 5:30 per km, or 8:51 per mile.
What pace do I need for a sub-4-hour marathon?
Faster than 5:41 per km, or about 9:09 per mile.
How accurate are the predictions?
Riegel's formula T2 = T1 × (D2 ÷ D1)^1.06 works best for distances you have trained for. From a 55-minute 10K it predicts about 2:01:21 for a half and 4:13:01 for a marathon.
