Online Scoreboard

A two-team scoreboard where every tap on a team adds a point. Track sets and serve, rename teams and show it full screen on a phone or tablet.

Scoreboard

Scores are saved in this browser and survive a reload. The screen stays on once you start scoring.

How to use the online scoreboard

  • Tap anywhere on a team’s panel to add a point. Tapped by mistake? Use −1 under the panel.
  • End set gives the set to the team that’s ahead and puts both scores back to 0. It won’t end on a tie.
  • Swap switches the left and right panels when teams change ends; scores and sets stay with their team.
  • In Settings, rename the teams (up to 12 characters), pick one of 7 colors and turn on the serve marker.
  • Full fills the screen with just the scoreboard on Android and desktop browsers, handy on a tablet propped up courtside.
  • Scores are saved in this browser, so a reload doesn’t lose them, and the screen stays on once you start scoring.

Scoring rules by sport

SportPoints to winMatch
Volleyball (FIVB)25 (5th set: 15)First to 3 sets
Badminton (BWF), until 3 Jan 202721Best of 3 games
Badminton (BWF), from 4 Jan 202715Best of 3 games
Table tennis (ITTF)11Best of 5 or 7 games

When the score is tied:

  • Volleyball: play on until one team is 2 points ahead (26-24, 27-25 and so on).
  • Badminton, 21-point games: from 20-all a 2-point lead wins; at 29-all the 30th point wins.
  • Badminton, 15-point games from 4 January 2027: from 14-all a 2-point lead wins; at 20-all the 21st point wins.
  • Table tennis: from 10-all a 2-point lead wins, and the serve changes after every point instead of every two.

In volleyball and badminton, whoever wins the rally scores the point and serves next, no matter who served (rally scoring). The serve marker follows that rule. In table tennis the serve changes every two points, so pass it with the Serve button or turn the marker off. Club and school events often play shorter games, so check your event’s rules.

BWF members voted on 25 April 2026 to make 15-point games the standard badminton format from 4 January 2027, keeping 21-point scoring as an alternative.

Other ways to use it

  • PE classes and school field days (volleyball, dodgeball, kickball)
  • Backyard and rec-room games: ping pong, badminton, cornhole
  • Board games, card games and trivia nights with two teams
  • Pool, darts or any game where you want the score big on a screen

Will my screen stay on?

Once you start scoring, the page asks the browser to keep the screen awake. If your browser doesn't support that, lengthen the screen timeout in your device settings.
