How it works
Upside-down text uses letters from the IPA and other Unicode blocks that look like rotated Latin letters (ɐ, ǝ, ɟ, ɥ…), then reverses the order.

Where it works
The result is plain Unicode text, not a font, so you can paste it into Instagram and TikTok bios, X posts, Discord, WhatsApp and most apps. Very old phones may show empty boxes for characters they don't have.
Screen readers may read styled letters one by one or skip them, so keep important information in normal text.
Frequently asked questions
How does upside down text work?
Each letter is swapped for a character that looks like it rotated 180°, and the order is reversed so it reads correctly when you turn the screen around.
Why do some letters look slightly off?
Unicode doesn't have a perfect upside-down twin for every letter, so the closest symbol is used.
Can I flip it back?
Paste the flipped text into the box and it flips back.
